Iohann III Asen was born in 1259 in Bulgaria. Iohann III Asen's father was Iwan Mico Mytzes and his mother is Maria Asen. His maternal grandparents were Iwan Asen II Asen and Eirena Doukaina Angelina. He was an only child. He died at the age of 43 in 1302.General Notes
