Catherine Belgica Van was born on July 3rd, 1578 in Antwerp, Belgium.  Catherine Belgica Van's father was Willem I Van Oranje-Nassau and her mother was Charlotte De Bourbon-Montpensier.  Her paternal grandparents were Wilhelm VIII Von Nassau-Dillenburg and Juliana Zu Stolberg-Wernigerode; her maternal grandparents were Louis II De Bourbon-Montpensier and Jacqueline De Longwy. She had four sisters named Charlotte Brabantine Van, Louise Juliana Van, Elizabeth Flandrine Van and Amalia Antwerpiane Van.  She was the second youngest of the five children. She had four half-brothers and a half-sister, named Philip Willem Van, Maurits Van, Frederik Hendrik Van, Justinus Von and Maria Van.  She died at the age of 69 on April 12th, 1648 in Delft.

‌Catherine Belgica Van and Philipp Ludwig II Von were married in a religious ceremony on October 23rd, 1596 in Dillenbourg.  They had two daughters named Amalie Elizabeth Von and Katharina Juliana Von.
