Isabel+ was born on October 9th, 1200 in Pembroke, England. Isabel+'s father was William+ Marshall and her mother was Isabel Fitzgilbert De+ Clare. Her paternal grandfather was John Fitzgilbert+ Marshall and her paternal grandmother is Sibyl D'+ Evereux; her maternal grandparents were Richard Fitzgilbert De+ Clare and Aoife+ MacMurchada. She had four brothers and five sisters, named Walter, William, Richard, Anselm, Maud+, Margaret+, Joane+, Eve+ and Sibyl+. She was the fifth youngest of the ten children.
