Philip Markley 
Philip was born on August 27th, 1725 in Shippack, Montgomery Co., Perkiomen Twp, PA. Philip's father was Jacob Merckle and his mother was Barbara Dotterer. His paternal grandfather was Abraham Merckle and his paternal grandmother is Anna Veronica X; his maternal grandparents were George Philip Dotterer and Anna Veronica Schleipfer. He had two brothers and three sisters, named Abraham, Isaac, Veronica, Rebecca and Christina. He was the second oldest of the six children. He died at the age of 74 on April 14th, 1800. He was buried in St. Johns Luthern, Center Square, PA.General Notes
