Catherine was born about 1510 in Haddon Hall, Derbyshire, England. Catherine's father was George Manners and her mother was Anne Saint Leger. Her paternal grandfather is Robert Manners and her paternal grandmother was Eleanor De Ros; her maternal grandparents were Thomas Saint Leger and Anne Plantagenet.
