Hedwige De was born about 1178. Hedwige De's father was Ferry I De+ Lorraine and her mother was Ludmila+ Piast. Her paternal grandparents were Mathieu I De+ Lorraine and Bertha Von+ Hohenstaufen; her maternal grandparents were Mieszko III+ Piast and Elizabeth+ Arpad. She had two brothers and two sisters, named Ferry II De+, Thierry De, Judith De and Cunegonde De+. She is the second youngest of the five children.General Notes
