Catherine De was born about 1228. Catherine De's father was Guy VII De+ Laval and her mother was Philippa De+ Vitre. Her paternal grandfather is Mathieu II De+ Montmorency and her paternal grandmother was Emma De+ Laval; her maternal grandfather was Andre IV De+ Vitre and her maternal grandmother is Catherine De+ Thouars. She had a brother and two sisters, named Guy VIII De+, Anne De and Guyonne De. She is the oldest of the four children. She has a half-brother named Bouchard De.General Notes
