Hedwig Von+ was born in 1395 in Schleswig-Holstein, Prussia. Hedwig Von+'s father was Gerard VI Von+ Holstein and her mother was Elizabeth+ Guelph. Her paternal grandparents were Henri II Von+ Holstein and Ingeborg Von+ Mecklenburg-Schwerin; her maternal grandparents were Magnus II+ Guelph and Katharina Von+ Anhalt-Bernburg.
