Margarethe Von was born about 1360. Margarethe Von's father was Friedrich VI Von+ Hohenzollern and her mother was Elizabeth+ Wettin. Her paternal grandparents were Johann II Von+ Hohenzollern and Elizabeth Von+ Henneberg; her maternal grandparents were Friedrich II+ Von Wettin and Mathilde Von+ Wittelsbach. She had two brothers and two sisters, named Johann III Von, Friedrich VII Von+, Elizabeth Von and Beatrix Von. She was the third oldest of the five children.
