Hermann II Von was born about 1341. Hermann II Von's father was Ludwig I Von Hessen and his mother is Elizabeth Von Sponheim. His paternal grandparents were Otto I Von Hessen and Adelheid Von Ravensberg; his maternal grandparents were Simon II Von Sponheim and Elizabeth Von Kleve. He was an only child.
