Rufus Hobson

Rufus was born on March 4th, 1819. Rufus' father was Joseph Hobson and his mother was Mary Ann Allen. His paternal grandparents were Stephen+ Hobson and Mary Crew; his maternal grandparents were William Allen and Jane Hobson. He had six brothers and six sisters, named Miles, Jose, Silas, Joseph Crew, William, Stephen, Milly, Rhoda, Mary Ann, Jane, Lavina and Rebecca. He was the fifth oldest of the thirteen children. He died at the age of 52 on December 7th, 1871 in Sugar Grove, Hendricks Co., IN.
