Jose was born on March 1st, 1814. Jose's father was Joseph Hobson and his mother was Mary Ann Allen. His paternal grandparents were Stephen+ Hobson and Mary Crew; his maternal grandparents were William Allen and Jane Hobson. He had six brothers and six sisters, named Miles, Silas, Rufus, Joseph Crew, William, Stephen, Milly, Rhoda, Mary Ann, Jane, Lavina and Rebecca.
