Miranda was born in NC. Miranda's father was Samuel Hobson and her mother was Judy Murphy. Her paternal grandparents were Jonathan William Hobson and Sarah Williams. She had four brothers and four sisters, named William L., Jefferson, Jackson, Joseph, Mahala, Feriby, Ellender and Susannah M.. She died in 1871 in Jefferson Co., AL.General Notes
