Fenella was born on August 19th, 1889. Fenella's father was Charles John Hepburn-Stuart-Forbes-Trefusis and her mother was Jane Grey McDonnell. Her paternal grandparents were Charles Henry Hepburn-Stuart-Forbes-Trefusis and Harriet Williamina Hepburn-Forbes; her maternal grandparents are Mark Kerr-McDonnell and Nm X. She was an only child.
