Her paternal grandparents were Silas Gregg and Rhoda Armstrong; her maternal grandparents were Richard+ Easton and Elizabeth+ Heaton. She had five brothers and four sisters, named Silas, William Jackson, Jacob W., Harmon Jr., John Alexander, Mary Elizabeth, Nancy Evangeline, Caroline and Sarah.
