Thomas Drake was born on July 27th, 1870 in Pettis Co., MO. Thomas Drake's father was Brutus Eastin and his mother was Martha Emmaline South. His paternal grandparents were James Thomas Eastin and Theodotia South; his maternal grandfather is Thomas Drake South and his maternal grandmother was Elizabeth A. Summers. He had three brothers and four sisters, named Octavius, John Marshall, Brutus Cassius, Inez, Emmaline Joletsy, Theodosia and Margaret Arthuse. He was the second oldest of the eight children. He died at the age of 73 on April 12th, 1944 in Contra Costa Co., CA.General Notes
