Eirene+ was born in 1066 in Constantinople, Turkey. Eirene+'s father was Andronikos+ Doukas and her mother was Maria Of+ Bulgaria. Her paternal grandfather was Ioannes+ Doukas and her paternal grandmother is Eirene+ Pegonitissa; her maternal grandfather is Troianos Of+ Bulgaria. She had a brother and a sister, named Michael+ and Anna+. She was the second oldest of the three children.General Notes
