Marie De was born about 1258.  Marie De's father was Guy De+ Dampierre and her mother was Mathilde De+ Bethune.  Her paternal grandparents were Guillaume II De+ Bourbon and Marguerite II De+ Hainaut; her maternal grandfather was Robert VII De+ Bethune and her maternal grandmother is Isabeau De+ Morialmes. She had two brothers and two sisters, named Robert III De Bethune De+, Guillaume IV+, Marguerite De+ and Beatrice I.  She was the second youngest of the five children. She had a half-brother and three half-sisters, named Jean I De, Marguerite De+, Beatrice II De and Isabeau De+.  She died in 1297.

‌Marie De and Simon De were married in a religious ceremony in 1281.  They had a son named Jean II De.
