Penn Assheton was born about 1760. Penn Assheton's father was Assheton Curzon and his mother was Esther Hanmer. His paternal grandfather was Nathaniel Curzon and his paternal grandmother is Mary Ashton; his maternal grandparents are William Hanmer and Elizabeth Jennings. He was an only child.
