William Cox 
William was born on December 11th, 1692 in New Castle Co., DE. William's father was John Cox and his mother was Rachel Embree Carr. His paternal grandparents were Thomas+ Cox and Christian+ Matthews. He had four brothers and three sisters, named Richard, Joseph, Thomas, John Jr., Ann, Sarah and Amy+. He was the second oldest of the eight children. He died at the age of 74 on January 20th, 1767 in Cane Creek, Orange Co., NC.General Notes
