Maria Magdalena was born on August 25th, 1768 in Mount Joy Twp., Adams Co., PA. Maria Magdalena's father was Andrew Ashbaugh and her mother was Maria Artemesia Odessina. Her paternal grandfather was Johann Heinrich Eschbach and her paternal grandmother is Maria Elizabetha Merck. She had eight brothers and two sisters, named Adam, John, Henry, Andrew, Frederick, Alexander, Thomas, William, Elizabeth and Esther. She died at the age of 80 on December 26th, 1848 in Adams Co., PA.General Notes
