William Allen 
William was born on August 3rd, 1730 in London Grove Twp., PA. William's father was John Allen and his mother was Amy+ Cox. His maternal grandparents were John Cox and Rachel Embree Carr. He had three brothers and five sisters, named John II, Joseph, Benjamin, Rebecca, Emey, Elizabeth, Mary and Phebe+. He was the fifth oldest of the nine children. He died at the age of 76 in 1806.General Notes
