Elizabeth was born before 1544 in Scotland. Elizabeth's father was William Abernethy and her mother is Elizabeth Hay. Her paternal grandfather was Alexander Abernethy and her paternal grandmother is Nm Stewart; her maternal grandfather was William Hay and her maternal grandmother is Christian Lyon. She had a brother named Alexander. She was the younger of the two children. She died before May 1581.General Notes
