Osbern was born about 1135 in Richard's Castle, Shropshire, England. Osbern's father is Hugh FitzHugh and his mother is Eustacia de Say. His paternal grandfather is Hugh ("Blundus") FitzOsbern; his maternal grandparents are Jordan de Say and Lucia de Rumilly. He had a brother named Hugh. He was the older of the two children. He died in 1186.-
