Svend was born about 1020 in England.  Svend's father was Earl Ulf Thorgilsson and his mother was Princess Estrid Margarete Svendsdatter of Denmark.  His paternal grandfather was Jarl Thorkil Bjornsson and his paternal grandmother is Sigrid ("Sprakling") Haraldsdottir; his maternal grandparents were King Svend ("Forked Beard") Haraldsson I and Princess Gunhilda of Poland. He had two brothers named Biorn and Asbjorn.  He died on April 29th, 1076 in Soderup, Abenraa, Denmark.  He was buried in Hellige-Trefolg, Roskilde, Denmark.


Svend's first family with Gytha of Denmark

‌Svend and Gytha were married in a religious ceremony about 1030.  They had a son named "the Staller".


Svend's second family with Rannveig Tordsdatter

‌Svend and Rannveig were married in a religious ceremony in 1041.  They had a son named "the Evergood".
