Theodorc, known as "the Brave", "Balthas”, was born about 0405 in Toledo, Visigothic Empire of Spain.  "the Brave", "Balthas”'s father was King Atawulf of the Visigoths and his mother was Empress Galla Placidia of Rome.  His paternal grandfather was King Athanaric of the Visigoths; his maternal grandparents were Emperor Theodosius Augustus ("the Great") I of Rome and Galla Justina Valentinia. He had a half-brother named Sigerik.  He died  due to died in the battle of Chalons in 0451 in Chalons.

‌"the Brave", "Balthas” and Amalaberge were married in a religious ceremony about 0420.  They had two sons named “the Brave” and Euric.
