Flavius Valerius Constantius, known as "the Great", was born in 0317 in Naissa, Nis, Yugoslavia.  "the Great"'s father was Emperor Constantine Augustus I of Rome and his mother was Flavia Maxima Fausta.  His paternal grandparents were Emperor Constantinus Chlorus I of Rome and Empress Helena ferch Coel of Rome; his maternal grandfather was Emperor Maximian Augustus of Rome-West and his maternal grandmother is Eutropia of Syria. He had a brother named Maximian. He had a half-brother named Gaius Flavius Julius.  He died at the age of 44 in 0361.
