His paternal grandfather was King Athanagild I of the Visigoths; his maternal grandfather was Count Severginus de Cartagena and his maternal grandmother is Theodora Amali of Italy. He had three brothers named Hermenegild, Sigebut and Recared. He had a half-brother named Chindasvind. He died about July 0601 in Toledo, Visigothic Empire of Spain.General Notes
