Emperor Arcadius of Rome-East

Arcadius was born in 0377 in Constantinople.  Arcadius' father was Emperor Theodosius Augustus ("the Great") I of Rome and his mother was Aelia Flavia Flaccilla.  His paternal grandfather was General Flavius Theodosius ("the Elder") I of Rome and his paternal grandmother is Thermanis ("the Elder") l'Ainee of Rome; his maternal grandfather was Prefect Antony Flaccilla of the Gauls. He had a brother named Flavius Honorius.  He was the younger of the two children. He had two half-sisters named Aelia Galla Placidia and Galla Placidia.  He died at the age of 31 on May 1st, 0408.

‌Arcadius and Aelia were married in a religious ceremony on April 27th, 0395.  They had a son named Theodosius Augustus.
