Basinia II was born in Thuringia, Germany.1 Basinia II's father was of the Ostrogoths King of the Thuringians Wedelphus and her mother is Basina De Thuringia. Her paternal grandfather was Winithar King of the Ostrogoths; her maternal grandfather is King of Thuringia Weldelphus. She had two brothers and a sister, named Banin Of, Chief of the Franks and Wedelphe. She had five half-brothers named Praeorian Prefect of Gaul, King of the Franks, Albero, Adelbert and Chlodebaud Childebert. She died after 0476.1 General Notes
