Berthar's father is King of the Thuringian Franks Bisinus and his mother was Basinia II von Thuringia. His maternal grandfather was of the Ostrogoths King of the Thuringians Wedelphus and his maternal grandmother is Basina De Thuringia. He had four half-brothers and four half-sisters, named Chilperich II, 'the Great' of the Franks, Adlebert, the Great King of the Salic Franks, Audefleda, Lanthechild, Andefieda and Agrippina.General Notes
