Nichola de was born about 1150 in Brattleby, Lincolnshire, England. Nichola de's father was Richard de la Haye , of Brattleby and her mother was Maud de Vernon. Her paternal grandfather was Robert de la Haye , of Halnaker and her paternal grandmother is Muriel of Lincoln , Heiress of Brattleby; her maternal grandparents were William de Vernon , Lord of Shipbrook and Lucy de Tankerville. She had two sisters named Lucy (Agnes) de and Agnes de. She was the second oldest of the three children. She died in 1230.-
