Lucy (Agnes) de was born about 1144 in Brattleby, Lincolnshire, England.  Lucy (Agnes) de's father was Richard de la Haye , of Brattleby and her mother was Maud de Vernon.  Her paternal grandfather was Robert de la Haye , of Halnaker and her paternal grandmother is Muriel of Lincoln , Heiress of Brattleby; her maternal grandparents were William de Vernon , Lord of Shipbrook and Lucy de Tankerville. She had two sisters named Nichola de and Agnes de.  She was the oldest of the three children.  She died after 1224 in Stamford, Lincolnshire, England.1
