Margaret was born about 1442 in Of, Clifton, Cheshire, England. Margaret's father was Sir John Savage and her mother was Catherine Stanley. Her paternal grandfather was Sir John Savage and her paternal grandmother is Elizabeth (Eleanor) Brereton; her maternal grandparents were Thomas Stanley Lord and Joan Goushill. She had ten brothers and six sisters, named Lawrence, Robert, James, Thomas, Humphrey, Richard, William, George, Christopher, Edward, Dulcia or Gracia, Anne, Miss, Alice, Katherine and Elizabeth. She was the oldest of the seventeen children. She died in 1525.-
