George Savage

George was born about 1471 in Of, Clifton, Cheshire, England. George's father was Sir John Savage and his mother was Catherine Stanley. His paternal grandfather was Sir John Savage and his paternal grandmother is Elizabeth (Eleanor) Brereton; his maternal grandparents were Thomas Stanley Lord and Joan Goushill. He had nine brothers and seven sisters, named Lawrence, Robert, James, Thomas, Humphrey, Richard, William, Christopher, Edward, Margaret, Dulcia or Gracia, Anne, Miss, Alice, Katherine and Elizabeth. He was the third youngest of the seventeen children. He died in 1536.
