Avis De was born about 1100 in Mosterton, Beaminster, Dorsetshire, England. Avis De's father was Richard Seigneur de Reviers and her mother was Adelise Peverel. Her paternal grandparents were William Seigneur de Vernon and Emma Fitz Osbern; her maternal grandparents were William "The Elder" Peverel , of Nottingham and Adeline. She had four brothers and three sisters, named Robert De, William de, Hugh, Baldwin de, Hawise (Maud) de, Avis de and Joan De. She is the fourth youngest of the eight children.General Notes
According to the line, Avis was daughter of Richard by Avis, daughter of Reginald Earl of Cornwall, b. 1040. But this is impossible as Reginald wasn't born until 1110, so I am ignoring the mother indicated in the line. Paul Davis questioned the dates involved as well.
