He was 3rd Lord of Killeen, Meath, Ireland. He was a minor at hisfather's death and his wardship was granted by Richard, Duke of York,then Lord of Meath, to Thomas Fitzgerald, Earl of Kildare. In 1493, beingof age, he had livery of his inheritance. In 1465 he and Elizabeth, hiswife, and others of the family joined with the Earls of Desmond andKildare, and the Bishop of Meath in founding the fraternity of St.Nicholas at Dunsany. In the same year he was on a commission formed forestablishing a company of men-at-arms in Meath. The English of Meath andLeinster in 1466 sent an army into Offaly, but O'Connor Faly defeatedthem and captured many, including Christopher Plunkett, and sent them tothe Castle of Carbery, whence they were soon rescued.
