FOSTER, NEWLIN LINES
Son of William Malet; ancestor of the Malets of Somersetshire and held possesions in Suffolk concerning whom Glover has recorded a charter, where he styles himself "dapifer regis." He is sometimes said to be William's brother instead of his son. [Falaise Roll, p. 43]
