Arthur Malet in "Noticies of an English Branch of the Malet Family" states that Durand Malet was a brother of William Malet. Durand is a tenant in capite in Domesday with holdings in Lincolnshore of (inter alia) Irby-on-Humber, Rothewelle and Willingore. The Malet name continued in Lincolnshire.
