John Lindley 
John was born on September 15th, 1775 in Orange Co Nc.1 John's father was John Lindley and his mother was Sarah Pyle. His paternal grandparents were Thomas Lindley and Ruth Hadley. He had eight brothers and three sisters, named Simon, William, James, Thomas, Jacob Marion, Jahu, Samuel Washington, Jonathan, Elizabeth, Mary and Ruth. He was the fifth oldest of the twelve children. He died at the age of 80 on July 7th, 1856 in Bloomington Twp, McLean Co. Il.1 General Notes
In 1800, John Lindley was in Christian Co. KY, and owned 200 acres of land. He was on the 1800 Tax List as having 1 cow or horse and 200A on Little River.
