James Lindley

James was born on March 29th, 1777 in Chatham Co. Nc.¹ James' father was John Lindley and his mother was Sarah Pyle. His paternal grandparents were Thomas Lindley and Ruth Hadley. He had eight brothers and three sisters, named Simon, William, John, Thomas, Jacob Marion, Jahu, Samuel Washington, Jonathan, Elizabeth, Mary and Ruth. He was the sixth oldest of the twelve children.¹
