Hugh Capet was born in 0938 in of Paris, Ile-de-France, France.  Hugh Capet's father was Hugues "Magnus" de Neustria Count of Paris and his mother was Hadwig von Sachsen.  His paternal grandparents were Robert I King of France and Beatrice de Vermandois; his maternal grandparents were Henry I "the Fowler" Holy Roman Emperor and Matilda von Ringelheim. He had three brothers and two sisters, named Otto Eudes, Otto-Henri "the Great", Herbert of Auxerre, Beatrix and Emma.  He was the oldest of the six children.  He died at the age of 58 on October 24th, 0996 in Paris, Paris, Ile-de-France, France.  He was buried after October 24th, 0996 in Abbaye de Saint-Denis, Seine-Saint-Denis, Ile-de-France, France.


Hugh Capet's first family with Adelaide de Poitou

‌Hugh Capet and Adelaide were married in a religious ceremony in 0968.  They had a son and three daughters, named Robert II Capet "the Pious", Adwige (Avoise) Capet, Gisele Capet and Adele Capet.
