John Howard

John was born about 1516 in , Ashwellthorpe, Norfolk, England. John's father was Thomas, 2nd Duke of Norfolk Howard and his mother was Agnes Tylney [DuchessofNorfolk]. His paternal grandparents were John Howard Duke of Norfolk and Catherine Mullins Duchess of Norfolk; his maternal grandparents are Hugh Tylney [Sir Knight] and Daughter Tailboys. He had six brothers and seven sisters, named William, Thomas, George, Richard, Henry, William, 1st Baron of Effingham, Catherine, Elizabeth, Dorothy, Anne, Agnes, Anne, Countess of Oxford and Elizabeth, Countess of Sussex. He had four half-brothers and three half-sisters, named Thomas, 3rd Duke of Norfolk, Edward, Lordhigh, Admiral, Lord Edmund, John, Elizabeth, Muriel and Ann. He died on March 23rd, 1523.
