John Hobson 
John was born on October 28th, 1774 in ,Chatham,Nc. John's father was Stephen Hobson and his mother was Ann Barnes. His paternal grandparents were Cpt George Hobson and Hannah Kinnison; his maternal grandparents were Brinsley Barnes and Elizabeth Lindley. He had four brothers and a sister, named Stephen, George, David, Silas and Ann. He is the youngest of the six children. He had a half-brother named Joseph.-
