Rebekah Hinshaw 
Rebekah was born on February 20th, 1789 in Randolph County, North Carolina.1 Rebekah's father was Thomas Hinshaw and her mother was Rebecca Marshill. Her paternal grandparents are William Hinshaw and Sarah. She had six brothers and three sisters, named Aaron, Enoch, Ezra, John, Simon, Thomas, Emey, Hannah and Ruth. She died at the age of 93 on September 9th, 1882 in Danville, Hendrick County, Indiana Buried: Mill Creek.1 General Notes
In the fall of 1838, Rebecca and Joshua moved to Hendricks County, Indiana, settling in Clay Township. At that time their two eldest children were married.
Joshua died Aug 23 1847, buried Mill Creek Cemetery, Danville, Hendricks County, Indiana.
Rebecca and her son, Addison Hadley, donated 110 acres of land and a large sum of money with which the "Hadley Industrial School for Girls" was founded at Danville, Indiana.
Rebecca was a woman of great energy and fortitude, and strong religious convictions, and a devoted Bible student. She was a frequent attendant at church, riding horseback when between eighty and ninety years of age.
Rebecca Hinshaw died Apr 19 1882.
