John Hadley 
John was born on May 15th, 1809 in Chatham Co., North Carolina.1 John's father was Joseph Hadley and his mother was Mary Hinshaw. His paternal grandparents were Joshua Hadley and Lydia Beals Hiatt. He had five brothers and six sisters, named William, Joshua, Joel, Riley, Josephus, Ruth, Jane, Rebecca, Mary, Julia and Hulda. He was the oldest of the twelve children. He died at the age of 43 on November 21st, 1852 in Salem Mm, Iowa Territory.1 -
