Humphrey Giffard 
Humphrey was born in 1532 in Black Ladies, Chillington, Staffordshire, England. Humphrey's father was Thomas Giffard and his mother was Ursula Throckmorton. His paternal grandparents were Sir John Giffard Knight and Jane Hoord. He had four brothers and seven sisters, named Edward, John, Robert, George, Dorothy, Isabell, Elizabeth, Lucy, Cassandra, Anne and Mary. He was the second oldest of the twelve children. He had two half-sisters named Alice and Elizabeth. He died after 1583.-
