His paternal grandparents were John Gibson Col. and Anna Shickellamy; his maternal grandfather was Jacob Sinks. He had five brothers and five sisters, and also a sibling of unknown gender, named James W., Jacob, George, Robert, William, Prudence, Elizabeth, Temperance, Martha Ann, Mary and Frances. He died at the age of 87 on February 1st, 1895.1 -
