John Drake 
John was born in 1704 in Hopewell, Hunterdon Co., Nj, USA. John's father was Benjamin Drake and his mother was Mary Runyon. His paternal grandparents were Rev. John Drake and Rebecca Trotter; his maternal grandparents were Vincent Rognion and Ann Martha Boutcher. He had eight brothers and two sisters, named Benjamin, Francis, Zechariah, Edmond, Thomas, Nathanial, William, Daniel, Rebecca and Rachael. He was the oldest of the eleven children. He died at the age of 46 on October 25th, 1750 in Stony Brook, Hunterdon Co., Nj.General Notes
Will of John Drake: 1750, July 21. Drake, John, of Hopewell Township. Hunterdon Co., yeoman; will of. Wife, Rachel. Three daughters, Frances, Ruth and Mary Drake. Son, John Drake, land which testator received from his father; land bought from John Coxe. Sons Charles and Benjamin. Executors --brothers Francis and Thomas Drake, and friend Willson Hunt. Witnesses--Richard Evins, Zachariah Drake and Edward Cooper. Proved October 25, 1750. Hunterdon Wills, 280 J.
1750, Oct, 29. Inventory (£222.18l.11) includes one Negro fellow, £55; hive of bees; gun and sword. Made by Reuben Armitage and Richard Evins.
