HISTORY OF ELIZABETH NEW JERSEY 1868 pg 179 Revised Edition by Hatfield Vincent Runyon (Rognion) was a carpenter of French origin. He probably came over to Jersey in the 2nd or 3rd importation of Laborers, by the Governor. He brought March 20 1676 1/2, of Francis Barber, Thomas Moore's original house and lot. He was a witness for the presecution in the Mitchel case, and so lost caste in the Town (Elizabeth), on which account he removed not later than 1677, to Piscataway on the Raritan River. He died November 1713, his wife Martha surviving him.
